Electrophysiology Cardiologist Job Details

Location : Lexington, KY 40536 – Explore the "Horse Capital of the World" with scenic parks, historic sites, and a lively downtown. Ideal for candidates seeking Kentucky cardiology jobs.

Assignment Type : Locum tenens (travel contract)

Specialty : Cardiology – Electrophysiology

Healthcare Setting : Academic hospital with clinic and procedural lab

Start Date : March 2, 2026

End Date : August 31, 2026

Duration : 26 weeks

Schedule : 5x8-hour day shifts (08 : 00 – 17 : 00); flexible scheduling; at least 1 week of clinic coverage per month preferred

Call Requirements : None

Support Staff : 3 staff physicians and advanced practice providers

EMR : Epic

Estimated Weekly Pay Range : $12,830 – $13,750

Electrophysiology Cardiologist Qualifications

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology with fellowship training in Electrophysiology

Active Kentucky medical license or willingness to obtain (Kentucky healthcare jobs)

DEA license (Kentucky)

Minimum 1 year of experience in electrophysiology

COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Proficiency in electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and pacemaker implantation

Electrophysiology Cardiologist Responsibilities

Provide outpatient clinic coverage, seeing 16–20 patients per half day (new and follow-up visits)

Option to participate in 1-day procedure block shifts with lab time

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care

Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation and patient management

Participate in academic and training activities as appropriate
