TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Tacoma, Washington, 98405!

$2,226 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Telemetry Registered Nurse

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Specialty : Telemetry

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : BLS, COVID Vaccination Required

Must-Have : Minimum 2 years of acute care experience

Description :

Candidates cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization within the past year.

Travelers will be required to float to cover the needs of the entire medical-surgical division.

Travelers may also float to alternate medical-surgical units as needed.

Patient ratios are 4-5 RNs per unit.

Patients may have common diagnoses, including those requiring telemetry monitoring.

RNs are required to titrate drips as per medical-surgical guidelines.

Most drips are at set rates, but RNs can titrate up to maximums as indicated.

Common titratable and set rate drips include insulin, heparin, and nitroglycerin.

Charge RNs are available for each unit, with a house supervisor on site.

CNA support is available, with CNAs typically taking 8-11 patients.

Telemetry is monitored remotely, with telemetry technicians measuring and reading strips.

RNs verify readings for accuracy.

Shifts are 12 hours, with a requirement for every other weekend.

Holidays are required, with 1-2 during the winter season.

There is a call requirement of up to 4 times during the contract duration.

Floating between units is expected based on staffing needs.

There is no specific dress code for uniforms.

Unit-specific orientation will not cover alternate units but will focus on the core medical-surgical standards of care.

Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled by the hospital during the assignment.

The charting system in use is an electronic medical record system.

A BSN degree is not required for this position.
