Rocky Mountain Classical Academy (RMCA) is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Social Worker to join our Learning Services team. This position plays an integral role in supporting the school psychologist and Learning Services team by providing psychology minutes and counseling services, participating in IEP processes, and maintaining compliance documentation. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with experience in school-based social work and a commitment to fostering students’ emotional well-being and academic success.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) required
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) License as a School Social Worker
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a school or child-centered setting preferred
- Knowledge of IEP compliance, special education processes, and counseling documentation requirements
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, counselors, and Learning Services staff

Requirements :
Provide individual and small group counseling to students as outlined in IEPs or MTSS intervention plans.Collaborate closely with the school psychologist in managing IEP minutes, service logs, and compliance documentation.Participate in IEP meetings to provide social-emotional and behavioral insights and to support the development of appropriate goals and services.Monitor and track counseling and behavioral service minutes to ensure compliance with special education requirements.Support the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) process by developing and implementing intervention strategies for students needing additional emotional or behavioral support.Communicate and collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement plans that promote student well-being and success.Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with state and federal regulations (including FERPA and IDEA).Assist with crisis intervention and student safety planning as needed.Participate in professional development and staff training to support a positive and inclusive school climate.Represent RMCA’s mission and core virtues through professionalism, empathy, and service to students and families.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong understanding of child and adolescent developmentWorking knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and CDE requirements for documentation and service deliveryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentialityStrong critical thinking, data collection, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a school environmentProficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic data management systems (e.g., Enrich, PowerSchool)$32.00 - $35.00 per hour
