Job Title : Certified Pharmacy Technician – TMT Pharmacy
Location : Morton, PA
Reports To : Pharmacist-in-Charge / Pharmacy Owners

Job Summary :
We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused Certified Pharmacy Technician
(CPhT) to join our independently owned specialty care pharmacy. This role offers the
opportunity to work closely with pharmacists, patients, attorneys, and healthcare providers in a
friendly, supportive environment. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day pharmacy
operations, providing hands-on support in both clinical and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
Prescription Support
- Receive and input new prescriptions via phone, fax, e-prescribing, or in-person.
- Accurately prepare, count, label, and package medications for pharmacist review.
- Handle refill requests and coordinate with prescribers for authorization.
Customer Service
Provide high-quality, personalized service to all patients.Assist with drop-offs, pickups, and drive-thru (if applicable).Educate patients on prescription status, insurance issues, and store services.Develop rapport with regular customers and maintain a trusted community presence.Insurance & Billing
Submit insurance claims and troubleshoot denials or rejections.Apply discount cards, copay assistance, or house accounts as needed.Explain coverage, copays, and out-of-pocket costs to patients.Inventory & Purchasing
Receive, organize, and restock inventory; maintain clean and orderly shelves.Monitor stock levels and communicate low or backordered items to the pharmacist.Assist in ordering from wholesalers and local vendors.Perform regular checks for expired or soon-to-expire medications.Controlled Substance Handling
Maintain accurate CII logs and follow strict protocols for DEA compliance.Verify identification and signatures for scheduled medication pickups.Help monitor red flags such as unusual refill patterns, multiple doctors, or out-of-areaprescribers.
Pharmacy Operations
Sanitize equipment and workstations regularly.Assist with store maintenance (cleaning, organizing, ordering supplies)Follow all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.Qualifications : Required :
High School Diploma or GEDActive Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential (PTCB or NHA)Valid State Pharmacy Technician Registration or License (as applicable)Bilingual (English and Spanish)Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and organizational skillsComfort using pharmacy management systems (e.g., PioneerRx, Rx30, Liberty, etc.)Preferred :
Prior experience in an independent or small-chain pharmacyFamiliarity with cash-based or hybrid compounding / retail servicesInterest in learning new areas such as immunization prep or MTM supportWork Environment & Schedule :
Close-knit team setting with direct interaction with owners / pharmacistsMay require weekend or evening shifts based on community needsStanding, bending, and lifting (up to 25 lbs) required throughout the shiftCompensation & Benefits :
