POSITION SUMMARY :

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct and indirect patient care in the mental health outpatient setting. Maintains standards of practice. Participates as an interdisciplinary team member responsible for overall coordination of care and services delivered to clients. Works collaboratively with members of the health care team to provide patient / family education. Demonstrates knowledge commensurate with scope of practice. Provide patient care services for patients under the direction of the qualified medical staff-reporting to a Nurse Practitioner as the MA's direct supervisor.
