We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Irvine, California. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in full-cycle payroll processing, multi-state payroll management, and proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro. This role requires strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accurate and efficient management of payroll operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare detailed payroll reports utilizing advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Process payroll data entries, including deductions, earnings, and adjustments, to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage payroll uploads, including batch processing, accruals, payouts, and retroactive payments.
  • Oversee multi-state payroll operations for a workforce exceeding 500 employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and provide necessary support.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records in systems such as ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro.
  • Assist in audits and reporting by providing accurate payroll data as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and implement best practices.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to use pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Experience managing payroll for organizations with over 500 employees.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills to address payroll-related inquiries and collaborate with teams.
