Job Title : Production Supervisor
Shift : 1st shift : Mon-Fri 5 : 15am-1 : 45pm
Job Summary
Accountable for a specific portion of an operations function (such as Manufacturing, Quality, PIC, Materials, Sterilization or Customer Engineering). Controls area of responsibility to achieve end results that support broader functional goals. Develops plans and strategies that integrate with plans and strategies in other areas within the broader function.
Essential Duties
- Manages and provides leadership for the functional group's development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives.
- Ensures operations schedules are met within budget through appropriate use of human and technology resources, scheduling and effective problem solving.
- Plans and implements organizational changes within area of responsibility. Recommends changes to other areas that will improve overall effectiveness of the operations and / or quality group.
- Acts as the Voice of the Customer and Subject Matter Expert for processes and partnerships within the business.
- Is the point of contact for engineering and other support functions.
- Participates and promotes associate participation on cross-functional teams.
- Maintains consistency in issues related to company policy, practices and documentation.
- Facilitates group meetings.
- Creates development plans for associates and provides honest and constructive performance feedback.
- Responsible for throughput and schedule attainment.
- Responsible for Non-conformance processes.
- Maintains all data management and entry into relevant systems. Understands how it relates and drives KPI.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in an operations environment.Demonstrated knowledge and maintained competencies in all areas defined at the Production Lead level or equivalent experience preferred.Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma practices preferred.Knowledge of managing in a regulatory environment preferred.Skills
Demonstrated ability to supervise associates.Working knowledge of the business's products and their use.Demonstrated leadership and presentation skills.Working knowledge of performance reports and how activities in area of responsibility affect them.Knowledge of technology and methods applicable to the area.Maintains working knowledge of quality management techniques and ability to develop quality and productivity goals and measures.Ability to learn, understand and apply statistical methodologies to manufacturing volumes.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to lead and mentor others.Expert knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines and practices.Pro-active approach with strong problem solving skills.Demonstrated knowledge of safety practices.Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications.Note : An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.
Physical Requirements
Manufacturing environment requirements include use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, reaching, and hand / finger dexterity.Must be able to work in a clean room environment and perform gowning of clean room attire in the allotted time prior to start up.Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and transporting up to 500 pounds via carts or mechanized equipment.Good manual dexterity and visual acuity including color discrimination.Ability to work under fluorescent lighting.Ability to sit or stand for the duration of a shift.The physical demands described are representative of those required to perform the essential duties. Compensation and Benefits
Target Pay Range : $66,900.00 to $83,600.00. Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Target Bonus on Base : 7.0%
