Job Description
We’re partnering with an established and innovative engineering manufacturer in the Detroit Metro area that designs and builds high-performance mechanical systems used across specialized industrial markets worldwide.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity that blends product maintenance, design, and application engineering — supporting the full lifecycle of a key product line with the potential to expand into other advanced system platforms.

What You’ll Do
Support the complete product lifecycle — from R&D and design to installation and continuous improvement.
Design and develop custom mechanical solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Perform root-cause analysis and corrective maintenance on complex mechanical systems.
Collaborate with sales, production, and commissioning teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Provide technical expertise during installation, testing, and field support.
Maintain and update technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
Contribute to product innovation and ongoing system enhancements based on field performance and customer feedback.
Partner with the sales team to support proposals and communicate technical capabilities to customers.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (design, product support, or application engineering).
Proficiency with SolidWorks and core mechanical design principles (GD&T, thermodynamics, machine design, fluid systems).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical information clearly to both engineers and customers.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience :
Exposure to mechanical test equipment and rotating machinery
Experience with FEA, CFD, or PLM tools .
Familiarity with MATLAB, LabVIEW , or similar software.
Background supporting product commissioning or customer installations.
