Location : Victorville, CA

Duration : 6 Weeks (Start Date : Wednesday, November 5)

Type : 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly Rate : $52.50 / hr (Overtime after 40 hours)

Per Diem : $150 / day (7 days per week if over 50 miles from project)

• Mobilization : $500 (one-time fee)

Pay Schedule : Weekly

Work Schedule : Monday–Saturday | 10-hour shifts | 60 hours per week

Project Scope

The Construction Safety Manager will oversee all safety aspects during the demolition of a 240-foot brick-lined concrete chimney. Demolition will be performed by a subcontractor using bracket scaffolding and pneumatic hammers, with all materials removed in a controlled manner and debris directed down the chimney interior. The client will manage debris removal from the base following each day's demolition activities.

Qualifications

Familiarity with MSHA Part 46 standards

Current / valid 24-hour Part 46 certification

Minimum 3–5 years of safety management experience in construction or industrial environments

Key Responsibilities

Manage all on-site safety operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce site-specific safety protocols

Lead daily toolbox talks, JSAs, and incident prevention initiatives

Ensure adherence to MSHA Part 46 requirements

Investigate and report safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions

Coordinate with site management and subcontractors to maintain a safe work environment

Skills & Knowledge

Skills :

Strong communication and public speaking abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Effective organizational and multitasking capabilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

OSHA outreach training experience preferred

Professionalism and discretion with sensitive information

Knowledge :

Comprehensive understanding of EHS and construction industry regulations

Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards and compliance requirements
