About The Position

Job Title : RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : 1 year of nursing in acute care AND 1 year of nursing in surgical services

License : State RN Licensure in Alaska

Certifications : BLS from the American Heart Association & ACLS from the American Heart Association

Must-Have : Two years of experience in acute care is acceptable, with the expectation the incumbent will participate and successfully complete the assigned nursing program.

Description :

Manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and principles of primary nursing.

Follow departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Utilize a Pyxis medication system and EPIC medical charting.

Work Monday through Friday in an 8-hour shift.

Be available for on-call duties as needed.

There is no requirement to float to other units or departments.

The nurse-to-patient ratio will be maintained according to departmental standards.

Wear scrubs; no specific color is required.

Participate in department-specific training on procedures and protocols.
