We are seeking a skilled Flux & Solid Core Welders or Mig Welders to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working on various construction and manufacturing projects, ensuring high-quality standards in welding and assembly processes.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to determine the layout, dimensions, and welding requirements.
- Lay out, position, align, and fit components together using a variety of tools, including calipers, squares, and rulers.
- Use hand and power tools like saws, grinders, and cutting torches to cut, trim, and shape metal parts.
- Set up and operate machinery to support fabrication, such as automated punches and shears.
- Perform tack-welding, bolting, and clamping to secure parts in position for final welding.
- Inspect finished products for conformance to quality standards and specifications, chipping or grinding off excess weld, slag, or spatter as needed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, etc.
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders, to join metal parts in various positions (e.g., flat, vertical, and overhead).
Skills
Experience in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, and other welding techniques.Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication tools.Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
