Project Manager (Commercial Security Equipment) - Your Job Duties :
As an Project Manager, you'll own the project lifecycle from kickoff to final sign-off, getting your hands dirty and ensuring flawless execution. Your day-to-day will blend on-site leadership, detailed logistics planning, crew coordination, and rapid problem-solving.
You will :
- Lead project execution for security and building systems installations and service, ensuring jobs are completed on time, on budget, and meet stringent quality standards in the field
- Mentor and develop our technical teams by sharing your expertise with technicians, subcontractors, and field crews
- Coordinate the front-line effort with subcontractors, general contractors, and internal teams to maintain project flow
- Keep the project financial pulse by tracking labor and materials costs, preparing progress reports, and helping forecast revenue based on field milestones
- Review, scope, and price out field changes, job walks, and estimates to mitigate risk and set realistic resource and schedule expectations
- Finalize project delivery by ensuring all closeout documentation, reporting, and as-builts are accurate and complete
- Drive quality assurance by conducting site checks and modeling top-notch customer service and technical precision on the job site
- Streamline field and office processes to make our operational workflow more efficient and enjoyable
- Travel regularly to job sites within the greater Seattle area to ensure project success. NO OVERNIGHT TRAVEL!
Project Manager (Commercial Security Equipment) – Who You Are (Required Experience, Education & Fit) :
You have :
Hands-on Project Management or Operations Management experience in the low-voltage or electronic security systems spaceProven ability to provide clear direction and guidance to project teams, field technicians, and subcontractors while fostering their skill developmentStrong project management expertise : on-site planning, resource allocation, cost control, and oversight of medium-to-large installationsPractical experience with system installations, networking hardware, and reading construction documents / blueprintsAbility to handle and work with equipment and perform field-based, hands-on tasks as neededValid driver's license with a clean driving recordYou might have :
An associate or bachelor's degree in a technical field (electronics, engineering, IT, or related)PMP or equivalent project management certificationAbility to maintain certifications for relevant security, access control, and video product lines (e.g., Alta Access Control and Alta Video, Acre, Genetec, and SWH)Direct field familiarity with low-voltage / electronic security systems, or have obtained your EL06 license in the past (It's OK if it is expired)Project Manager (Commercial Security Equipment & Contracts) – For You :
You will work both out of the office in Tukwila and, critically, in the field to visit customers and job sites daily and weekly (you choose your schedule, no overnight travel).
Your compensation will be a base salary of $100,000 - $145,000, depending on relevant experience.
You will be provided with a comprehensive benefits package including 100% paid company medical insurance plan, dental and vision option, and a 401k with a 4% match, paid vacations and holidays, cell phone, equipment, and access to a company vehicle for site visits.
This role requires successful completion of a drug test and a clean driving record prior to start date.
