Staff Accountant

Position Overview :

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to manage a variety of accounting responsibilities, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and guidelines specific to the nursing home industry.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and balance sheets for the nursing home facility.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other balance sheet items.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets.
• Review and verify billing for patient services and ensure timely submission of claims.
• Assist in the preparation of financial audits and regulatory compliance reports.
• Process payroll and related deductions, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
• Monitor expenses and help identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Handle the accounting for capital projects, fixed assets, and depreciation.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid reporting.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and help with decision-making.
