An Early Education Center Office Manager performs and is responsible for all the clerical activities of an Early Education Center.

Promotional status is required for this position. You must be a current or retired employee of LAUSD with 130 paid days in the Classified Service or permanent status in the Certificated Service or have been laid-off within the past 39 months from a regular, permanent LAUSD position in which you passed probation. Laid-off employees' eligibility as a promotional candidate expires at the end of their 39 month period.
Education : Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency, preferably supplemented by courses in office management, business English, business arithmetic, and human relations.
Experience : Two years of experience in office clerical work that included using a computer keyboard and record keeping.
Special : A valid driver's license to legally operate a motor vehicle in the State of California and the use of a motor vehicle, or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation. A first-aid certificate issued by the Red Cross is desirable. Appointment to positions in this classification is subject to fingerprinting, a review of conviction record, and a background investigation.

The selection process for Early Education Center Office Manager tentatively consists of a computerized multiple-choice assessment and a writing project / technical interview. Note : You may waive the multiple-choice assessment if you have completed an instructor-led Early Education Center Office Manager Bootcamp Training Program within one year of the application close date.
Testing process :
The retake policy for the School Office Manager series, which includes School Administrative Assistant, Continuation School Office Manager, and Early Education Center Office Manager, is four (4) months.
