Under general direction, the purpose of this position is to provide specialized administrative and legal support to the Employment / Labor, Insurance and Consumer Litigation Attorneys. Employees in this position are responsible for preparing employment, insurance claims and consumer complaint litigation files. In addition, they will research and respond to subpoenas, compose business correspondence, proofread documents, calendar litigation matters, such as, depositions and mediations. Additional responsibilities will include administrative functions, but are not limited to, answering phones, preparing documents for shipping, copying, scanning, filing, etc

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

• Prepares drafts of various legal documents, e.g., affidavits, resolutions, settlement agreements, and responses to discovery.
• Responsible for compiling and organizing all documents and data for response to discovery.
• Works with external counsel on case development; assists with reporting to internal departments.
• Partners with internal clients to act as a resource for ongoing issues.
• Prepares, reviews and distributes memorandums, correspondence, reports, presentations, forms, and other documents as assigned. Logs and tracks all forms of correspondence.
