Neuro Care Registered Nurse

Join our team as a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in neurological patient care. You will play a vital role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for our patients. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive neuro care, including airway management and the use of specialized equipment. You will work under the supervision of the Nurse Manager / Clinical Coordinator, assessing and managing individual patient care according to established policies and procedures.\nKey Responsibilities : \n

• Continuously assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions throughout their care journey.\n
• Develop, communicate, and document individualized care plans, involving patients, families, and the healthcare team.\n
• Implement and coordinate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.\n
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and modify as necessary, making referrals as needed.\n
• Provide education to patients and families based on assessed learning needs.\n
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff and function as a charge nurse.\n
• Meet performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and professional development.\n
• Ensure smooth unit operations through the completion of assigned duties.\n
• Demonstrate competency in caring for neurological patients, including airway management and assisting during special procedures.\n
• Utilize knowledge of the TIA teaching program and perform suctioning tasks according to policy.\n
• Care for patients in a halo brace and manage those on ventilators effectively.\nQualifications : \n\nMust be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a BSN preferred. Proficiency in electronic patient records and the ability to conduct literature searches related to patient care is essential.
