Travel PICU RN Job Details Location : Boise, Idaho (83712) – Idaho healthcare jobs Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract Unit : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Floor 4 Duration : 13 weeks (October 22, 2025 – January 21, 2026) Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), weekends as needed Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2310–$2470 Orientation : 2 shifts (12 hours each) Floating : Required to Pediatrics, NICU, and sitter assignments as needed Scrub Color : Any color PICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Current BLS and PALS certifications Minimum 2 years of recent PICU nursing experience Experience with EVD, trach / vent management required Epic EMR and Alaris pump experience preferred Proficient in titrating drips (propofol, fentanyl, epinephrine, etc.) Comfortable floating to Pediatrics, NICU, and performing sitter duties Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the Boise facility PICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in a 12-bed PICU Manage patients with trach / vent, DKA, respiratory, surgical, and seizure diagnoses Monitor and interpret cardiac strips for pediatric patients Troubleshoot and manage ventilators, bubble CPAP, and BiPAP equipment Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including pediatricians and respiratory therapists Float to other pediatric units and NICU as needed, including full assignments and sitter responsibilities Maintain accurate documentation using Epic electronic medical records (EMR) Adhere to unit policies, including flexible scheduling and holiday coverage Apply now to join our healthcare team as a travel PICU Registered Nurse in Boise, Idaho, and make a difference in pediatric nursing care!
