Job descriptionWork in a hospital-based PCU within a Level III Trauma Center Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30 Patient population requires telemetry, cardiac medication administration, and infusion care Floating required to other stepdown or medical units as needed Every other weekend and one holiday per contract required Uses Cerner EMR with prior experience required Royal blue scrubs required for this assignment Pre-assignment completion of up to 8 hours of paid online modules is required No on-call responsibilities are expected Free parking is available for staff Attendance and professional conduct standards are strictly enforced, with the potential for immediate contract termination for issues Maximum of two shift call-offs permitted per assignment Must be able to work at least one holiday if requested during assignment Background check through Nursys required prior to placement Travelers may be required to float to affiliate hospitals based on census Active IN or compact RN license; pending licenses accepted if active by start date Minimum 1 year of recent PCU / stepdown nursing experience required Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required; pending certifications accepted if active by start Experience with telemetry, cardiac medications, and infusion therapy required Cerner charting experience required Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted First-time travelers are not accepted Return staff must have at least 3 years since previous employment before consideration High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
