ER RN Job Details – Ohio Healthcare Jobs Location : Mount Vernon, Ohio (43050) Facility : Community Hospital Emergency Room (28 beds, 18 rooms) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : ASAP (11 / 24 / 2025 preferred) Shift : 4x12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), 48 hours / week Estimated Weekly Salary : $1800-$1840 Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 Orientation : 16 hours Free parking available Block scheduling available (case by case) COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required Flu Vaccine : Required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio nursing jobs Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (2 years preferred) BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred Experience with EMR systems (Paragon / Allscripts preferred) Previous travel nursing and charge nurse experience preferred Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed Willingness to float to similar units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals ER RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients in a fast-paced ER setting Perform triage, assessment, and emergency interventions for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies Administer medications, IVs, blood products, and manage central and arterial lines Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias; manage ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services Accurately document patient care using EMR systems Participate in orientation and required training modules Maintain compliance with hospital policies and national healthcare quality standards Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Ohio and make a difference in a supportive, award-winning hospital environment.
