American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of recent L&D experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with 16 L&D beds and a 6-bed L&D triagePatient population includes neonates, infants, and adultsTypical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 1-2 with an average census of 15 patientsCare includes labor (vaginal), C-sections, multiple births, post-partum hemorrhage, pregnancy induced hypertension, and D&C proceduresUses Epic EMR (required), Pyxis system, and SBAR communicationNight shift (3x12 hrs, 7 : 00 pm – 7 : 00 am)Floating required within the facilityTwo on-call shifts per 6-week period for AM and PM shiftsRequired to work three weekend shifts per contractResponsibilities include managing labor and delivery, assisting with C-sections and multiple births, as well as responding to obstetric emergenciesTeam-based unit with motivated, experienced staffOrientation provided with non-billable hours factored per contract length; modules completed during orientationFacility provides required scrub attireMust be compliant with all pre-employment requirements to start on timeNo more than 7 days of requested time off allowed; RTO cannot be during the first week of the assignmentTravelers are expected to work holidays according to assignment period; no holiday RTO can be requested except under limited conditionsLocal candidates are accepted at the same rateTravel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift and unitNo blocked scheduling allowed\n \n Requirements\n
