American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU night shift opportunity, requiring OH or compact license and strong floating flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in a Level IV NICU with critically ill neonatal patients
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00
  • Must float to PICU, CV PICU, stepdown, MS, BPD NICU, and occasionally to ED or other campuses as needed
  • BPD NICU patients have an average length of stay of 2-3 years and require frequent trach care and active parental involvement
  • Responsibilities include delivering advanced care to critically ill neonates and managing patients with chronic conditions requiring trach care
  • Heavy family involvement is expected especially in the BPD NICU
  • Floating to various units and campuses is required based on organizational needs
  • First interview with Float Pool Leader, potential second interview with NICU manager
  • Strict punctuality policy is enforced

    • Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license in hand
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • A minimum of 2 years Level III / IV NICU experience and at least 1 year in a Level IV NICU required
  • Must provide 2 professional references, with at least one from a supervisor or manager
  • No previous permanent employment with the facility within the last 2 years
  • Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not eligible
