• Neonatal ICU experience at a level III or IV
• Neonatal feeding and swallowing experience

Description :

The unit has a capacity of 75 to 100 beds.

It houses a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

There are 3 to 4 Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists in the department.

Over 65 staff members are involved in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy.

Day shift staff includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Physical Therapists.

There are no night shift staff.

The typical patient ratio is 1 therapist for every 12 patients.

Equipment used includes specialty feeders, positioning equipment, and Dr. Brown bottles.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

There is no on-call requirement.

Floating to Pediatric Cardiac ICU and Pediatric units may occur if census is low in the NICU.
