As a Security Officer - Armed Corrections Patrol Driver in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned corrections locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities :
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random patrols within the corrections location and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or incidents.Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain order within the location.Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal protocols.Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services when required.Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or breaches within the corrections environment.Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company policies and training.What We're Looking For :

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.An armed guard card or license is required.A minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement, military, or corrections is required.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
