Environmental Abatement Technician

Job Summary

The Abatement Technician is responsible for supporting asbestos abatement and industrial maintenance projects in full compliance with company policies, health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos abatement field work under direct or indirect supervision.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including timesheets, daily reports, driver's logs, and safety meeting forms.
• Follow project scopes, schedules, and contract requirements while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations during every phase of field work.
• Work in confined or restricted spaces, including extended periods of squatting, crawling, or standing.
• Safely operate and inspect vehicles within licensing requirements.
• Travel out of town for extended assignments (two weeks or more) as required.
• Adapt to varying physical demands and environmental conditions depending on project requirements.
• Perform duties outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Work in challenging environments, including exposure to extreme temperatures, hazardous materials, loud noise, heights, heavy equipment, and extended hours.
• Meet physical requirements, including walking, crouching, use of hands, and lifting 50+ pounds.
• Remain clean-shaven at all times to ensure proper respirator fit and seal.
