Pay Information

$125 to $150 per hour

About The Position

Consistent Ongoing Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage in Illinois

We have an excellent locums opportunity for a Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Illinois. This assignment offers a consistent schedule in a collaborative, team-based inpatient environment, perfect for a provider seeking a stable interim role.

Highlights

  • Consistent assignment offering 3-4 weeks of coverage per month
  • Work as part of a dedicated team of PAs and NPs
  • Gain experience with a range of general cardiac surgery cases
  • Malpractice insurance is included for the duration of the assignment

Practice Setting

  • Inpatient-only responsibilities
  • Function within a collaborative group of 5 PAs / NPs
  • Supported by an OP-RN and CV Supervisor

    • Schedule

  • Coverage needed for Monday-Friday daytime hours
  • Assignments are available starting this fall and ongoing
  • Potential for weeknight and weekend call coverage

    • Procedures and Cases

  • Focus on general cardiac surgery
  • Cases include CABG, AVR, MVR, and ECMO

    • Requirements

  • Must hold a current Illinois state license
  • Requires a minimum of 12 months of CT Surgery experience
  • Must be a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Active ACLS certification is required

    • Credentialing Requirements

  • The credentialing process takes approximately 90 days
  • Our team provides full credentialing support
