Our client, who has buildings in the CT area is a leading real estate developer and investment manager within the industrial, residential and other property sectors.

Role Overview

The Building Engineer is responsible for light maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of facilities, particularly in industrial settings. This includes managing and responding to tenant requests and emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Call vendors but also posess a basic knowledge of how to repair building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and fire protection
• Inspect and test fire suppression systems and collaborate with safety vendors.
• Ensure property areas, including grounds and equipment rooms, are clean, safe, and organized.
• Assist contractors and respond to tenant inquiries.
• Handle after-hours emergencies like fires, flooding, or power outages.
• Keep accurate logs and reports on daily activities and inspections.
