Job Summary : This role reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO). In coordination with the COO, they are responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of ERC’s Waiver program, Richardson Industries, Care Coordination, and Life Skills. This includes hiring, firing, and disciplinary action for all staff in supervised programs, understanding training requirements to meet licensure standards, and ensuring best practices are being used in all supervised programs.

Supervisory Responsibility : No direct reports, but indirect supervision of program staff as assigned.

Essential Job functions include :

  • Ensures that all supervised programs comply with licensure and accreditation requirements for training, compliance with policies and procedures, and implementation of best practices. Completing performance evaluations and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Assists with ensuring that supervisors have turned in documentation and other paperwork (timesheets, mileage, data collection, etc.) on time to the appropriate department.
  • Works closely with accounting to resolve any billing issues with input from responsible program staff.
  • Oversees and monitors financial management for specified Waiver clients according to ERC policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Reviews assigned departmental reports to ensure accuracy and forwards them to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.
  • Oversee data collection for supervised programs. Works closely with Care Coordination to ensure accurate reporting and implementation of client goals and that records are up-to-date and ready for licensure audit.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of new programs and quality programming for supervised programs.
  • Oversee the creation of client plans, goals (long-range and short-term), as well as the timely preparation for annual meetings with clients and their guardians.
  • Works closely with all department heads to ensure the smooth inner-workings of all programs and to problem-solve in the best interest of ERC, our staff, and the individuals served.

Qualifications - Knowledge / Skills / Abilities include :

  • Experienced manager with proven excellence in supervising multiple programs. Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively with direct reports, clients, and staff, as well as outside entities.
  • Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence as well as comprehend budget spreadsheets and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals.
  • Work Environment :

  • The work environment is consistent with a typical office setting
  • Standard office setting with the job requiring long periods of sitting in front of a computer.
  • May occasionally experience moderate noise levels.
  • Physical Demands : This role requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, repetitious computer and phone use, and talking to people. Lifting requirements of 50 lbs. on occasion.

    Travel : Less than 10% of local travel is expected for this position.

    Required Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred, 2-5 years in a related field required.
  • 2-5 years of management and supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Preferred Education and Experience :

  • Preferred level of education required – Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Preferred years of experience required – Three or more years of related experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of programs and services for individuals with disabilities.
  • Preferred experience working with nonprofit organizations.
  • Previous work with state licensures and related annual audits a plus.
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications :

  • Must pass an extensive background check.
  • Must comply with drug testing requirements.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • If you are a van driver for ERC, you must have a valid Arkansas driver’s license, meet safe driver requirements, and be 18 years of age.
  • Required and or Preferred Certificates for this job –
  • Licensure requirements- Must meet minimum licensure annual training requirements.
  • This role includes licensure requirements for Administrators, Health & Safety, and HIPAA training.
  • Other Duties : As required to fulfill the ERC mission.
