Sesamo, is a Modern Italian restaurant with Asian influences, located in Hell's Kitchen. We combine traditional American Italian classics and Asian citrus, spices, and techniques, and reinvigorate the style within our quintessential New York neighborhood restaurant environment. Within a short 3 years on the corner of 10th Ave and 52nd Street, we have received rave reviews from Forbes, and was named one of the "Top Restaurants to Try Now in Hell's Kitchen" by Time Out.
We now seek a part-time bartender (who can also switch to server when needed) to add to our amazing team!
Requirements include attention to detail, organization, strong food / wine / beverage knowledge, a professional demeanor, discretion, and the ability to work as a team player. Must also have verifiable references. Fine dining experience preferred.
Ideal Bartender candidates should have the following :
- 2 years experience as a bartender at a New York fine dining restaurant, high volume experience or cocktail bar.
- Strong spirits knowledge and craft cocktail experience
- Knowledge of standard classic restaurant or fine dining restaurant service procedures
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about Italian, Asian and Japanese spirits, liqueurs, and Italian wines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in teams
- Ability to use POS system, and efficiently work with processes and systems in place

Must have experience in a fast-paced cocktail-centric environment as a BartenderMust be able to lift & carry at least 50 poundsMust be comfortable with repetitive motions (such as shaking cocktails, bending & standing)Must be able to stand for long periods of timeMust be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneouslyMust have intermediate or proficient knowledge of spirits, liquors, beer and wine.Must be able to take constructive criticisms and work well in a team dynamicCOMPANY VALUES :
