Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Electrical Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations and lead a team in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and performing hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Compensation & Location
Compensation : $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly (DOE)
Location : Dallas, TX 75237
Shift Coverage / Schedule
- Must be able to work in a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment with rotating or assigned shifts
- Availability for occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday shifts to support production demands
- Participation in an on-call rotation for urgent troubleshooting and maintenance needs
- Flexibility to support plant shutdowns, equipment startups, and project installations outside of regular hours
Responsibilities
Supervision & Leadership
Lead, supervise, and mentor a maintenance team to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and safelyOversee attendance tracking, time punches, and scheduling in PaylocityCoordinate On-the-Job Training (OJT) documentation with HR and SupervisorsManage call-ins and collaborate with HR on overtime scheduling and complianceQuality Control
Ensure compliance with GMPs and company standards during productionReview maintenance documentation for accuracy and completionMaintain clean and organized work areas between shiftsVerify correct materials and tools are being used for all assigned tasksAct as liaison between Quality Control and Operations to address and resolve quality issuesReport pest, safety, or equipment concerns promptlyTraining & Development
Train new hires on maintenance procedures, safety standards, and company protocolsConduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coachingSupport employee growth through consistent feedback and developmentCompliance & Safety
Enforce all safety, food safety, and environmental policiesConduct and document incident investigations and near-miss reportsEnsure team adherence to PPE and daily safety check proceduresLead toolbox talks and promote continuous safety awarenessMaintenance Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and robotic equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve breakdowns to minimize production downtimeExecute preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate recordsAssist in installation, relocation, and setup of machinery and systemsOperate forklifts and lifting equipment as requiredEnsure all maintenance work meets company and regulatory quality standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysisCollaborate with engineers and other departments to improve equipment reliabilityTrain and mentor junior technicians and apprenticesRequirements & Qualifications
Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in mechanical / electrical maintenance in a manufacturing settingStrong background in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenanceProficient in mechanical design and diagnostic testing softwareSolid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systemsExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to interpret technical drawings and schematicsPhysical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperaturesMust be able to work overtime or weekends as neededCompany Hiring Requirements
