The Missouri Athletic Club is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced individual for a Food and Beverage Director position at our Downtown location. The Food and Beverage Director will lead a charismatic and creative service team and will share our passion for the food and beverage industry. The Food and Beverage Director will encourage creativity while driving revenue and profitability. This will be a full-time position. Hours will vary based on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for overall financial success of the operation. Thorough understanding of the operations profits and loss (P&L) statement to determine weakness and strengths.
- Completes monthly / weekly forecast for performance of operations for budget against plan. Analyzes, initiates actions, and develops methods to improve product, company image and profitability.
- Demonstrates exceptional delegation to encourage associate empowerment and growth. Establishes goals for managers and supervisors to benchmark their progress.
- Oversees that the quality of the food product meets the company's expectations. Manages the catered events to oversee the proper set up, staffing, management, and clean-up.
- Ensures that all paperwork is accurate and timely submitted. Communicates effectively and professionally with peers, supervisors, and staff.
- Exhibits a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude committed to a teamwork environment. Ensures and maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Assures effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented. Assures that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently followed. Assures that all applicable club policies and procedures are followed.
- Researches new products and evaluates their cost and profit benefits. Reviews techniques for food preparation and presentation to maximize member and guest satisfaction and minimize food cost.
- Consults daily appropriate staff to help assure the highest level of member satisfaction at minimum cost.
- Helps develop wine lists and wine sales promotion program.
- Audits and approves weekly payroll. Approves all entertainment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 6 years of related experienceBachelor's Degree and / or Culinary Degree preferredHotel or Country Club experience preferredManagement Food Safety Certified or ServSafe and Alcohol CertifiedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
