Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Care to Stay Home of Coeur d'Alene is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this position, you will assist an ALS patient with his daily living needs, provide compassionate care, and generally increase their quality of life. Responsibilities may include monitoring vital signs, assisting with hygiene needs, and medication reminders, closely monitoring breathing and using cough assist and breathing equipment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and willing to be an advocate for their patients. This position will work Saturday and Sunday from 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. Specific training on this patient will be provided through shadow shifts with the Mon-Fri caregiver and the patient's spouse.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities
• Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
• Assist with mobility, and transfers
• Monitor breathing for choking and use devices to help the patient cough as needed
• Monitor food intake
• Blood pressure checks
• Medication reminders

Qualifications

Compensation : $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
