Top AmLaw 100 national law firm seeks an associate to join their Venture Capital and Emerging Growth Practice Group in their Kansas City or Boston office.

Associate candidates should have a minimum of 1+ years of experience, and additional candidates should have a minimum of 3+ years of solid experience, in each case, in one or more of the following practice areas : mergers and acquisitions, venture and other financings, corporate governance, joint venture, private equity, capital markets and / or other complex commercial transactions. Exposure to emerging growth companies and venture capital is a plus but not a requirement. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm experience, and superb problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. The associates will focus on private company and investment fund representation, including venture capital financings, general corporate matters, and exit transactions (as applicable), and will be given a significant opportunity to work directly with clients.
