Department : Renal Dialysis

Location : Dialysis Center - Irondequoit Seneca Ridge

Hours Per Week : 40 hours

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Sign-On Bonus : Up to $7,500

About Us

At our 48-station outpatient facility, located just three miles from Rochester General Hospital, we provide comprehensive care for hemodialysis patients. Our dedicated team includes clinical, social work, and nutrition experts who specialize in the unique needs of dialysis patients.

Your Role

As a Registered Dietitian in our Renal Dialysis Unit, you will play a vital role in enhancing the nutritional care of our patients. Your expertise will help us assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nutritional strategies that make a real difference in their lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary Nephrology team to assess and improve patients' nutritional status.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to ensure coordinated nutritional care.
• Counsel individuals and families on nutrition principles, tailoring advice to their unique needs.
• Review and assess clinical and laboratory data for chronic patients, providing timely dietary counseling.
• Participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences within 30 days of admission and every six months thereafter.
• Monitor Urea Reduction Ratio information and perform kinetic modeling as needed.
• Consult on nursing home and acute renal failure admissions as requested.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff and provide ongoing educational in-services.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Licenses / Certifications

RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist - Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)

Physical Requirements

This role involves medium work, requiring the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is also necessary.

Pay Range

$30.50 - $38.50
