We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Junior Electrician to support electrical maintenance and infrastructure operations at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC), located at Redstone Arsenal. This position will work alongside a certified Journeyman Electrician to perform installation, modification, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and facility equipment. The Junior Electrician will assist in executing facility upgrades, maintaining power systems, and ensuring compliance with federal safety standards.
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Assist in the installation, relocation, and repair of electrical systems including power, lighting, transformers, motors, pumps, exhaust fans, and distribution units
- Support load evaluations, circuit tracing, and updates to panel cards and electrical drawings
- Help restore facility components during modification projects, including ceiling tiles, raised flooring, and wall finishes
- Participate in the setup of distribution boxes, communication and security wiring, and other facility systems
- Maintain OSHA-compliant safety practices and support safe job site operations
- Assist in transporting tools, materials, and equipment within MSIC and to / from local vendors
- Work under supervision to identify material needs and assist in replacing outdated or discontinued components
- Learn to use measurement and diagnostic tools associated with electrical / general maintenance work
