Senior Division Manager

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Division Manager to join our MedTech Surgery business.

This is a field-based role available in multiple states within the territory. While specific cities are listed in the Locations section for reference, please note that they are examples only and do not limit your application. The Sr. Division Manager is responsible for leading a team of sales reps focused on driving sales activities to achieve the business objectives within business policies and guidelines as well as the departmental budget. This job is eligible for sales incentives / sales commissions. Position reports to the Head of US Sales. The position manages the divisional sales team 8-10 people. The position interacts with Global and Commercial Marketing, Healthcare Compliance, Commercial Education, Commercial Operations and Pricing and Contract Compliance and may interact with Global Marketing business functions / departments.

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws / regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position :

  • Implements and executes selling strategies and strategic sales plans which will help achieve overall sales goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates product and procedural knowledge; clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise and new product introduction experience.
  • Recruits, hires, and retains a professional and high achieving sales consultant for each territory in the Region.
  • Provides on-going performance management, coaching, and development of direct reports. Drives business results by working closely with field sales team to set and achieve territory objectives, while driving patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Assumes a lead role in the territory in acquisition of new accounts and surgeon relationships while assisting field sales representatives in penetrating existing accounts with new technologies.
  • Implements sales processes which includes business plans, contract strategy and execution and pricing models in both Hospital & Private Practice Channel.
  • Possesses and demonstrates an understanding of the changing market dynamics in healthcare, industry trends, customer segmentation, customer data knowledge and buying process.
  • Is responsible for sales, growth and income targets to improve gross profits, profitability, asset management, and budget management.
  • Manages business expenses in division with fiscal responsibility. Establishes relationships with key surgeons, key accounts, and associations to leverage potential opportunities, and maximize resources to drive collaboration toward innovative solutions. Knows and follows all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance at all times.
  • Is accountable for fostering both internal & external relationships and partnerships with multifunctional partners including Marketing, Professional Education, Commercial Operations, Commercial Education as well as key executive, economic and clinical decision makers across the IDNs to drive business growth and share of mind.
  • Diligently participates in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or our Chief Compliance Officer. Promotes and nurtures the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance, and actively supports our compliance program-related initiatives, programs, trainings, and activities. Complies with all applicable laws and regulations relating to business activities and Policies and Procedures of the Health Care Compliance Program and Johnson and Johnson Business Code of Conduct.
  • Experience and Education :

  • 10+ years of total work experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience required
  • Sales or marketing management experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience with documented history of sales success in a medical device sales environment
  • Deep experience in at least one of the following : account management, contracting, marketing, sales management.
  • Experience selling to surgeons in an operating room environment and / or experience calling on plastic surgeons
  • Aesthetics sales experience and experience calling on plastic surgeons
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong business insight & analytical skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 United States and a clean driving record is required
  • This position is eligible for a company car through the Company's FLEET program.

  • Vacation up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $132,000 - $211,600. Additional Description for Pay Transparency : The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
