Job Title : Facilities Maintenance - Mechanical

Position Summary :
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a key member of the Maintenance Team, responsible for ensuring the optimal condition, functionality, and safety of the facility, equipment, and surrounding areas. The role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and supporting operational efficiency within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
This Role typically includes tasks such as :
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, piping, pumps, conveyors, and other mechanical equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical failures and performing hands-on repairs
- Conducting routine inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition
- Supporting production teams by minimizing equipment downtime
- Maintaining tools, parts inventory, and maintenance records
- Following safety, compliance, and operational procedures
Key Responsibilities :
Execute maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, communications, carpentry, painting, and heavy-duty cleaning.Assist with repairs, preventive maintenance, replacements, and new installations of facility equipment, racking, storage, and structural components.Perform duties related to electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and mechanics not contracted out.Maintain exterior areas such as grounds, parking lots, and driveways, including snow removal and seasonal upkeep.Clean and maintain utility areas, storage rooms, ceilings, walls, and exterior windows; replace light bulbs and screens as needed.Properly use, store, and maintain supplies, tools, and equipment required for maintenance duties.Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve equipment and facility system issues efficiently.Conduct industrial maintenance, including interpreting schematics and working with logic controllers.Support safety initiatives and report issues in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards.Job Specifications :
Education : Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience.Experience : Minimum 1 year in a similar facilities or maintenance role; experience with building repairs is an asset.Technical Skills : Demonstrated mechanical / electrical aptitude; ability to read schematics and operate maintenance tools and systems.Problem Solving : Ability to diagnose and resolve facility-related issues independently and effectively.Other Requirements :
