LVN, Hendrick Clinic Cardiology

Apply for the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) role in Hendrick Clinic Cardiology at Hendrick Health.

Job Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for patients under the supervision of physicians or mid-level providers. Assist in coordinating patient care and function as primary liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education

Completion of Vocational Nursing Program or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

Minimum Work Experience

One-year licensed vocational nurse experience.

Required Licenses / Certifications

Current state vocational nurse license.

Current CPR certificate.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and health care systems. Familiarity with regulations, policies, and documentation standards.

Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment; understanding of basic laboratory procedures.

Knowledge of infectious disease management, safety standards, and infection control policies.

Knowledge of patient confidentiality and chart reporting.

Knowledge of medication and pharmacological agents used in a hospital-based clinic setting.

Knowledge of diseases and disease processes.

Ability to perform assessment and assist techniques appropriately.

Skill in using universal precautions, safe workplace practices, and confidentiality methods.

Skill in health information management and accurate charting.

Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and staff.

Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.

Ability to interact appropriately with patients, families, and staff.

Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and direct the work of others.

Ability to communicate clearly.
