Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, provides network support through configuration, deployment, and maintenance of wireless access points, network switches, and other network equipment. Timely attends to and completes network work orders. Provide telecommunication equipment and solution supports. Serves as a back up network admin and provide timely reports to supervisors.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in an information technology network and telecommunication environment. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics.
Additional Comments
Working knowledge of fundamental computing and networking methodologies and technologies. Experience in networking needs in virtual environments. Strong planning and project management skills. Ability to troubleshoot and address technical problems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills. Working experience with local and wide area networking, firewalls, switches, wireless technology, and internet protocols. Provide timely reports and detailed computer specifications as needed. Knowledge in telecommunication systems is preferred. Ability to establish effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and students.
