Outpatient Physical Therapist

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled and licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team! We are looking for someone with a strong foundation as a general practitioner in physical therapy, who can effectively communicate and interact with patients and their families from diverse backgrounds.

Primary Responsibilities :

Conduct thorough evaluation services, including reviewing patient history, performing assessments, and documenting results. Clearly explain findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in the goal-setting process.

Implement treatment protocols based on evaluations and the patient's condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed and document any changes in the patient's condition requiring adjustments to care.

Manage discharge planning and follow-up care effectively. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, outlining the patient's course of care with a focus on evaluations, interim progress, and discharge summaries.

Exhibit strong time management skills while meeting productivity expectations. Maintain an organized schedule and show commitment to providing seamless patient access to care through flexibility and empathy.

Proactively pursue continuing education for personal and organizational growth. Mentor and orient new staff, students, and volunteers while collaborating to enhance patient access and care quality.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Licensed to practice in Maryland, D.C., and / or Virginia as required by your location.

Must have American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
