    Requirements

    Position Summary

    Accounts Payable specialist will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

    Essential Job Functions

  • Review and verify all purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices needed to process payments daily
  • Enter invoice information in Navision / Infor (Certco’s ERP systems)
  • Identify and resolve any discrepancies to accounts
  • Resolve vendor billing issues
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Manage vendor correspondence via email or phone
  • Monitor all payment agreements for terms
  • Assistance with pulling payment support for audits / reviews when necessary
  • Strong computer skills with a desire to transition to a paperless environment
  • Other projects as needed
  • Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy

  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing weekly tasks to ensure timely completion of assignments
  • Promote adaptability, have a willingness to accept and promote change with an attention to detail
  • Strong capability to build relationships with vendors, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Driven to maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills & a desire to problem solve
  • Solid working knowledge of accounting and billing functions
  • Self-starter with the desire to learn, ability to prioritize & organize
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • An appetite for continuous change and improvement
  • Detail-Oriented

    • Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent acceptable
  • 2-year accounting degree preferred
  • Prior knowledge of handling 3-way match, recommended but not required
  • Understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles
