Job Title : MuleSoft Developer (Contract to Hire)
Location : Columbus, OH
Work Schedule : Remote Mondays & Fridays; Onsite Tuesdays–Thursdays
Contract Length : 6 Months (with strong possibility of direct hire)
Rate : $50–$55 / hour
Contract Type : W-2 Only (U.S. Citizens – No visa sponsorships)
Position Summary
We are seeking a MuleSoft Developer with hands-on experience in MuleSoft, API development , and system integrations to support our client's enterprise integration initiatives. The ideal candidate is a passionate engineer ready to contribute to the development and support of modern, scalable solutions that power critical operations across the organization.
As a member of the MuleSoft platform team, you’ll participate in building, enhancing, and maintaining APIs and integrations for internal business applications. This role is a mix of development, testing, and operational support, with exposure to full software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and support APIs and integration services using MuleSoft and related technologies.
- Participate in full lifecycle development, from requirements analysis through design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements for scalability and performance.
- Collaborate with team members and business users to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Conduct unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Maintain and enhance existing software, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support.
- Document system architecture, processes, and implementation details.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies and team collaboration, using Lean / Agile methodologies.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality and standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.Minimum 3+ years of experience in software development, including hands-on experience with C, C++, C#, or Java .Proficiency in API development and knowledge of RESTful principles.Experience in MuleSoft development , including building integrations and reusable components.Familiarity with modern development techniques and DevOps practices.Experience in unit testing, integration testing, and performance / stress testing .Strong database development and management skills (e.g., SQL).Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.Proven experience working in Agile / Lean environments.Additional Requirements
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship or C2C arrangements).Must work onsite at the Columbus, OH office three days per week (Tues–Thurs).
