Part Time Maintenance Jobs with the City of Alameda

Job Opportunity

The City of Alameda is looking for applicants interested in performing a variety of part-time, maintenance work across various city departments including Parks and Recreation, Public Works, and Mastick Senior Center. In general, the most frequent part-time help we are looking for are in the following areas :

• Building and Facility Maintenance (responding to basic facility maintenance requests, basic electrical repairs, changing lights, and other minor building repairs)
• Park Maintenance (picking up trash, emptying trash cans, cleaning park bathrooms and recreation facilities, conducting light weeding)
• Janitorial and Custodial Work (cleaning bathrooms and other city facilities, emptying trash)

Selection Process : Applications are reviewed for a match in qualifications only if a part-time opening becomes available. If a hiring manager is interested in your application, you will be contacted for an interview. If no part-time openings are available or if your application is not a match for current opportunities, your application will remain on file for a period of 3 months. Applications submitted under this job announcement will remain active for 3 months. There is no need to follow up on your application status if you are not contacted.
