About The Position

Job Title : Occupational Therapist (Traveler)

Location : Wausau, WI

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Position Overview :

Seeking a dedicated and adaptable Occupational Therapist (Traveler) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient therapy services to adult and geriatric patients with orthopedic, neurological, and functional mobility conditions. This role requires strong clinical expertise, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Evaluate, plan, and implement patient-centered occupational therapy interventions.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Work with adult and geriatric patients across a range of orthopedic and neurological diagnoses.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Participate in weekend rotations (1 per month) as scheduled.

Adapt effectively to patient volume fluctuations and assist in managing census-related adjustments.

Qualifications : Required :

Active Wisconsin Occupational Therapy License

BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy

NPI Number (must apply prior to start if not already obtained)

Inpatient Hospital Experience (minimum 2 years required)

Preferred :

Prior travel or contract experience

EPIC charting experience

Experience working with adult / geriatric populations

Preferred Attributes :
