Key Responsibilities of the Litigation Legal Assistant :

Act as the initial point of contact for new clients, collecting essential case information with care and professionalism

Conduct intake screenings and route inquiries to appropriate legal personnel

Enter and maintain accurate client data in the legal case management system

Translate documents and facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking clients and legal staff

Manage scheduling, appointment reminders, and calendar coordination

Ensure confidentiality of all sensitive information and adhere to legal and ethical standards

Provide general administrative support including document preparation, filing, and case organization

Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including case initiation, discovery, pre-trial preparation, and trial support

• Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, discovery requests / responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Support attorneys in preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
• File documents with state and federal courts, including use of e-filing systems

Qualifications of the Litigation Legal Assistant :

Full fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written) is preferred

1–2 years of experience in a legal, client service, or administrative role

Outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong customer service mindset

Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; prior experience with legal or CRM systems is a plus

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in legal studies is advantageous

Discreet, dependable, and able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism
