Thom Child & Family Services is seeking an Teacher Assistant (between 15 to 20 hours per week) to join their Thom Anne Sullivan Center Early Intervention program team located in Lowell , MA . The Teacher Assistant will assist in center-based or community-based child, parent / child, parent support, or parent education groups. The ideal candidate is a professional who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is eager to continue learning.

Qualifications / Requirements :

• High school equivalency with a minimum of three years experience in Early Intervention or similar program plus 30 hours of in-service training, workshops, or college courses in a related field.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and maintain a current drivers’ license.
• CPR certification required.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries; promote client confidentiality; and exhibit flexibility, sensitivity to cultural differences, and teamwork.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to problem solve, make recommendations, and implement solutions
• Bilingual (Spanish / Portuguese) preferred.
