Summary
The Manager Supply Chain, Production will be responsible for the management of the production departments while ensuring the safety of our people, workplace and environment and meeting all company, legal and other requirements. Ensure all facility equipment is maintained up to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high performing beverage manufacturing environment, leading by example and ensuring all associates follow all policies, procedures, practices and regulations.
- Continuously develop front-line leadership to ensure standards for safety, quality, equipment and associate performance are maintained.
- Partner with the plant leadership team to enhance plant performance and metrics, lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and develop innovative practices, methods and procedures that add value for the plant.
- Participate in budgeting process and justify expenditure requests by working with leadership and internal partners to develop sound business plans.
- Foster a winning culture of open and respectful communication.
- Manage and develop multiple supervisory level leaders who supervise approximately10 – 20 employees each to meet daily production requirements.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Business Conduct and applicable state and federal laws.
- Interview, hire & train employees; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; provide reward & recognition, address performance issues, create an open door environment to address employee concerns and resolve issues..
- Resolve operating, scheduling and production issues as needed.
- Develop key business relationships and be a strategic part of the plant leadership team in order to provide leadership and direction to ensure successful attainment of goals and objectives through clear expectations, direction and coaching for supervision and workforce.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferredProven experience leading successful teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Union environment experience preferred.Minimum of 6 years related experience.Experience successfully implementing Lean Management, Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement concepts, principles and practices.Experience leading improvement efforts in production, quality, and profitability.Experience with change management / transformation initiatives.Ability to communicate effectivelyEasily articulates ideas and needs so people at all levels can understand both verbal and written communication.Highly organized and self-directed with ability to prioritize projects.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Ability to handle multiple priorities under demanding circumstances.Knowledge of problem solving methodologies and Root Cause AnalysisMust be willing to work flexible work schedules to be available nights, weekends, and after hours if necessary.
