Job descriptionLocation : Old Town Alexandria, VA (Primarily On-Site)Join a respected and growing Northern Virginia law firm representing clients in family law matters throughout Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. Were looking for an Associate Attorney with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills whos ready to make an immediate impact. In this role, youll represent clients in court, draft persuasive pleadings and motions, and work closely with them on complex, meaningful legal issues. What Youll Do As appropriate, handle cases from inception through trial, hearing, mediation, or settlement Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents Negotiate settlements and advise clients on litigation risks Build relationships with clients while developing effective legal strategies What Were Looking For Licensed in Virginia (DC bar a plus) Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Excellent time management, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication Willingness to appear in court regularly and manage a growing caseload 15 years litigation experience preferred (will consider exceptional new attorneys) Professional, reliable, and client-focused Why Join Us?
