The Lifestyle Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing recreational,entertainment, fitness, and cultural programs for the community. This role ensures all activities are engaging, organized, and compliant with community rules, while managing budgets,contracts, and event logistics. The Lifestyle Director works closely with the Board of Directors,and Property Manager and oversees the Activities Committee to enhance the quality of life for residents.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage the annual entertainment and social calendar,including special events, fitness classes, and seasonal programs.
- With the Activities Committee’s assistance, will plan, organize, and oversee all community events, including décor, set-up, and clean-up.
- Establish ticket pricing to ensure expenses are covered when divided among projected attendees (72–76, or more for a community of 413 homes).
- Create flyers, sign-up sheets, and promotional materials; distribute via email, clubhouse postings, and other channels.
- Send at least two annual surveys to residents (end-of-season & mid-summer) to gather feedback and gauge interest.
- Research, negotiate, and secure contracts with entertainers, DJs,caterers, instructors, and vendors.
- Maintain files of contracts, licenses, insurance, and event documents.
- Process deposits / payments via community credit card and track all expenses.
- Maintain a master clubhouse calendar to prevent conflicts.
- Coordinate with the Property Manager to ensure rooms (Card Room, Hibiscus Room, Movement Room) are available.
- Review Private Event Request Forms to confirm requests are submitted at least 14 days in advance, fees / deposits are paid, and vendor documentation is complete.
- Arrange gate access for approved events.
- Oversee ticket sales and ensure fair access.
- Track attendance and manage limited-capacity events to allow broad participation.
- Enforce guest policies, ensuring registration and wristbands for non-residents and restricting members-only events to eligible attendees.
- Prepare the annual Activities & Entertainment budget by September 1.
- Estimate revenue, expenses, and supply needs.
- Submit budget proposals for Board approval.
- Provide monthly reports summarizing attendance, expenses, and upcoming events.
- Recruit and manage volunteers for ticket sales, setup, decorating,and clean-up.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for furniture movement, room setup, and resets.
- Assist the Board in creating and updating clubhouse use policies.
- Maintain positive resident relations.
- Attend community events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, when requested or if needed due to lack of volunteer participation or availability..
Part-Time 20 Hours per Week increase to 27.5 hours on January 1, 2026
Pay Rate : Up to $30 DOE
