Patient Care Representative

Sentara Medical Group is seeking to hire an individual to join our team as a Patient Care Representative for Southern Virginia Orthopedics.

Position Location : South Boston, VA

Position Status : Full-time, Days

Standard Working Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm (EST)

Overview : Responsible for registration process of new and current patients at the site. Completes check-in and check-out functions to include collection of co-pays, scheduling of appointments, and requests for medical records. Answers telephone calls and greets all patients and visitors with a smile. Must have ability to communicate with insurance carriers and discharge planners in a professional manner. Must be enthusiastic and energetic.

Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Certification / Licensure : No specific certification or licensure

Experience : Previous front-desk or patient care experience (Preferred)
