Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 . This position will be located in Ogden, UT and will support the SDS Division at the Ogden Manufacturing Facility . This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do :

Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.

Read and understand blueprints.

Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools

Perform such minor part-fitting operations as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.

May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Measure parts with precision tools such as, micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions.

Daily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systems

Use of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floor

Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectiveness.

Record and report existing structural discrepancies found during modification

This positions standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You Will Bring These Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in an engineering or technical role.

1 year of experience troubleshooting skills and practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.

Ability to interpret technical schematics, drawings, and maintenance manuals.

Strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for working in dynamic environments.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facility maintenance environment.

Additional competencies in areas such as PLC programming, instrumentation, or quality assurance.

IPC-610, IPC-620, and J-std-001 experience is a plus.

Welding experience is a plus; familiarity with basic welding techniques and safety procedures is beneficial.

Primary Level Salary Range : $47,000.00 - $78,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
